Cinco de Mayo, wrongly decoded by many as Mexico’s Independence Day is a yearly event observed by Mexico and United States to memorialize the defeat of the French empire by the Mexican force which was led by General Ignacio Zaragoza at Puela battle on the 5th of May 1862. The remarkable victory of the smaller Mexico force to the defeat of the French empire, which is larger and more sophisticated, encouraged the Mexicans greatly.
